My Shatter species is still under a working progress.. 

Shatters are minor demons but some can be stronger than the others.

The weaker minor shatters are scattered they usually are seen like shadows and is mistaken for one.

The average shatters have taken shapes of small like creatures, their parts especially their eyes are like a shattered broken mirror. Many average shatters are pests to the shatter hosts since they are eager to become one of their ranks they steal a so called energy/soul bits from them.

The shatter hosts are larger shatters that can actually take up a human shape but never the physical appearance of a human but like the rest of the shatters their bodies are like shattered mirrors and the tiny vein like gaps are filled with bright specific color. 

What makes this shatter hosts different from the other shatters it is because they feed on humans whole life energy and its whole soul by taking over their body engulfing them whole but it is a slow process. 

What does the human have an advantage on this? Few humans are able to control this shatter hosts, some makes deals just in order for them to take control of their own bodies. Once a shatter hosts sticks on to a human, that human will no longer be normal but inhumanly stronger since shatters prefer alive human food, they need to protect their own prey. Humans with control can will the shatter hosts to be used or not.

The disadvantage of a human with a Shatter Host

Once the shatter host sticks on to a human it will never part away (unless the shatter is willing to go) Holy items can damage both human and the shatter. The human with an attached shatter host will reduce their life span. Once a human cannot control a shatter host, the shatter will take over the whole body. A human who has control over a shatter will still have the same effects of losing their life span and souls to the shatter. 

Few people manage to see what a shatter is and those people are either already with a shatter on their bodies, a shatter is letting them see their presence, can see other shatters on another human are only applicable on those who have one attached or with supernatural senses.
